October 6, 2010

Staying home today. Don't feel good. This cooler weather has messed with my breathing a bit ... It's nice out, though. About 54F right now at 8am.
Made an organic scrambled egg with O'Brien potatoes and a cup of vanilla La Creme yogurt.
Need to walk to the mailbox in a bit. That might be all my exertion for the day if I don't stop wheezing ...
Glee was fantastic last night. Chris Colfer was amazing. His version of I Want To Hold Your Hand was beautiful. And, the casting of little Kurt was spot on!
I found this clip of the show (for some reason the copy of the clip is backwards, but the audio is perfect.)

Of course, because I don't feel good, everybody and everything are making excessive noise today!

Elder's Meditation of the Day - October 6
"Lots of people hardly ever feel real soil under their feet, see plants grow except in flower pots, or get far enough beyond the street light to catch the enchantment of a night sky studded with stars. When people live far from scenes of the Great Spirit's making, it's easy for them to forget His laws."
--Tatanga Mani (Walking Buffalo), STONEY
Nature is life's greatest teacher. The natural laws are hidden in nature. Hidden are solutions to everyday problems such as; conflict resolution, how to forgive, lessons about differences, how to manage organizations, how to think. Hidden are feelings. You can look at something and you will feel it. At night, have you ever looked at the sky when there are no clouds? As you look at all the stars, your heart will become very joyful. You will walk away feeling joyful and peaceful. We need to visit nature so we can see and feel these things.
My Creator, let me learn nature's lessons.
Some people are so petty about the stupidest, most childish things. Use common sense and respect what other people ask of their property. If they don't want something of theirs' shared, don't do it. And, when asked not to do it, don't act like an ass and start whining about being singled out!
I feel like I'm in such a bad mood. I don't feel good, so I'm grumpy. Everything is too noisy today.
Gotta eat some lunch, but don't want to get out of my chair ...
I really need to package up a bunch of swaps to mail tomorrow before work. And, I don't want to go to work, but I have to.
