July 31, 2011

9:30am
Well, I did my extremely good deed for the day! I took the TWO mice I caught overnight to the man-made lake down the street. While there, I noticed a young Canada Goose on the wrong (street) side of the fence. So, after I released the mice, I slowly got behind the goose and coaxed him along the fence until he could climb the small hill to the dock. The other geese noticed him and started honking, so he charged along the dock and jumped through the gap in the posts and down to the water to them. Loud honking greetings by all!

I am blowing in the 100 range of the peak flow meter. So, no work in the yard again today. Still need to clean the doves’ cage, too …

I’ve decided to sell my bike and the bike trailer that I got to take Jorgy for rides and never did … I want to trade them for an adult 3-wheel bike or sell them outright. I’m going to clean them up tomorrow, take pics and put them on Craigslist.

I just sent a request for an adult tricycle on the local freecycle. If I get one that way, I may just put my bike and trailer on there. Whichever works faster!

9pm
It’s been a fairly boring day. Read a lot of fanfic, though.
I sure hope the damn politicians get finished with their squabbling in the morning so I can start paying my bills and get some groceries tomorrow without worrying if my mom’s SS will be in the bank on Wed.

July 30, 2011

8am
I think this will be another lazy day. I may only get the doves’ cage cleaned today. I’m still not breathing good. Damn.

Well, I hadn’t planned on going anywhere, but caught another mouse in the night. So, have to release to the wilds.

9:30am
I am getting really tired of people not giving their correct address for swaps and auctions. This is at least the 3rd time in as many months that I’ve had something returned …

Need to let the doves out and clean their cage, but just can’t seem to move today. At least I got the mouse released and went to the mail box.

I got the updates done for the Firefox, Java and Acrobat on the XP computer last night. Then, when I shut it down, the damn Microsoft updated! So, tonight, I’ll probably have to do a restore and start over. I know I didn’t have that thing set to update automatically!!

It’s only 70F outside right now and my mom wants to turn the air on … gah!!

I have so much crap in my lungs and no strength to cough it up. Pneumonia, here I come …

10:15am

Getting a headache. Probably lack of oxygen … guess I’ll have to take a damn pill.

1pm
Well, that was depressing. I should have done this before. I just dug out my dad’s peak flow meters. I have 3 of them that are still in the boxes, never used. Anyway, I just tested in the 200 range. Not good. I knew my breathing was bad. I think it would have tested worse yesterday afternoon.

2:15pm
It’s freakin’ cold in here …

7pm
I feel so useless …

9pm
Moved into my bedroom at 8. It’s nice being able to come in here and relax on my bed, play on the computer and watch what I want on the TV! Been watching a bunch of old Lew Ayres movies.

Discovered that I already had PSP8 set up on this computer. No extra plug-ins, but that’s OK! I made this wall from a picture Thomas Gibson shared on Twitter earlier today. I might make a stat with it tomorrow.

10:45am
Wow. I was outside longer than I thought. Cleaned up all the Ming tree seeds/flowers from around and on my veggie bins. The tomato plants were covered and couldn’t see all the flowers or baby tomatoes coming out. There are lots! Also found a tomato worm and squished that sucker. Nikky was out with me the whole time and rooting around all over. She was covered in cobwebs, so I rinsed her off with the hose. She was not impressed as I know she has a fear of hoses from her previous life (what did they do to her!?) I am slowly getting her to realize it is not a monster. She ran around on the deck afterward and just now let her in to run and roll on the rug.

I had to come in as I started wheezing. I would have liked to stay out and do more cleaning of the square yard. Will try to do that tomorrow.

Time to start scanning books, magazines & such to list online.

Noon
I haven’t gotten anything done. But, I made a smoothie for lunch! Fresh strawberry/banana. I’m out of fresh blackberries. Will be starting in on the frozen fruit stash soon …

Two weeks until Ezra and Bruno get neutered! Hope I have the money to do it and won’t have to cancel …

1pm
Guess I shouldn’t have gone out on a bad air day. I still can’t breathe. Had to take a Primatene pill. Will be hyper soon.

Got a load of laundry going. Need to make a new batch of sun tea next time I get out of this chair.

2pm
Just can’t seem to get in gear to do anything now. Still breathing crappy, but not as bad as earlier. Pill helped, I guess.

Making tussin sun tea. Hope it will help my breathing.

Hooking my wireless router up again so I can hopefully get my desktop to connect in my bedroom. Then, I can go to bed early and not listen to the crap my mom watches out here. And, maybe I can get my PSP8 working on that computer. I really need to get it working on one of them!!

3pm
Got the wireless router hooked back up to the cable modem. Now to see if the desktop in my bedroom can go online.

Yay! I did it. I have an internet connection in my bedroom! Have a lot of updates to do for my Firefox, etc., but will do that tonight. Of course, it will all be for naught if I have to turn off my internet next week … damn government idiots.

Once I can start using my money again, I need to get some zeolite and some herbal oils. I found a recipe to make my own toothpaste that I want to try. I have a source for both, but can’t get them, yet … I’m almost out of the Organique one I’ve been using. It’s the best I’ve found so far, but still has some iffy ingredients. It’s so hard to find any without flax in them (nearly all commercial toothpastes have it as an unlisted ingredient and some natural brands do list it.) I am allergic, so always had a problem because of it.

6pm
I am so sick of so-called experts blaming SODAS for making kids fat! I drank nearly 8-16 oz. bottles of Pepsi EVERY day for the first 23 years of my life and was always UNDER-weight. Idiots. I’m not saying sodas are good for you. They really aren’t. But, they don’t make you fat! It’s all the chemicals they add to the foods these days. Dyes, hormones, antibiotics, PRESERVATIVES, etc. Eat real food and you won’t get fat to begin with.

8am
Got everything packaged up from my Listia auctions that ended the other day. Have to scrape together the change to mail them … May have to shut down most of my other auctions that haven’t ended yet (except the ones that already have bids.) Will decide on Saturday … I need to search for the closest free wifi, too. Also need to see if I can fix my internal wifi that failed a few weeks ago, or will have to use the USB thingie …

Looked up the free wifi hotspots. Woodland has only 4!! West Sac & Davis have a good selection. Sacramento does, too. Will still be tricky to find the time to go to them … Wish our library here had one. Davis library does …

9am
Off to release mouse #3 and then to the post office and work for a couple hours.

10am
Well, that was quick service. WalMart was just a one-time graphics check for one of our displays. They had already put them up, so I just had to check it was done on my paperwork! Staples is always a quick service. So, done for the day! I am going to rest a few minutes and then go out and plant bulbs and add dirt in the big brick planter.

Noon
Just came in from planting the daylilies and irises and topping off with some fresh soil to cover some of the older bulbs that have been multiplying and exposing their tops. Did a quick watering, too. I don’t normally water this late in the day, but there was still some shade over the brick box.

Put my load of laundry in the dryer. Now need to cool off and find something to eat …

2:15pm
Can’t stand this new news show my mom has started watching on FoxNews - The Five. I only watch Shepard Smith as he rarely gets politically aggressive like these other so-called reporters.
So, I am now listening to Glee - The Warblers. Love it! Need to burn this album! I’m also listing a few things on Bonanza.

Cute Kids Craft Kits - NIP (3) - QuinGem's Bonanza shop: http://t.co/irLAle7

4pm

Rare Vintage Perfroming Arts - Cats at Golden Gate 1986 - QuinGem's Bonanza shop: http://t.co/aqaZkDZ

I don’t know what I want to read next as far as actual books. I finished Dresden Files #10 last night. I don’t have 11 or 12 yet.

5pm
I swear I am going grocery shopping as soon as I know my mom’s SS deposit will happen. We are so low on food, I will have to turn off one of the fridges tomorrow and move the few things in it to the other nearly empty fridge …
7pm
Some of you may know that I have a 'thing' about animals who start with 'C' names - Cougars, Cocker Spaniels, Chihuahuas, Cavies & Chimpanzees ... but, not Cats - that's my mom's thing ... Anyway, I just came across this story about Nim. If you have ever studied chimps, you've heard of him ...
"Nim behaves in a way that is normal for a chimpanzee, but he's in a human world. ... In Nim's case, he has a chimpanzee's nature and that nature is an incredibly forceful part of his life. ... "I can't always be sure about what Nim is thinking and feeling because he's a chimpanzee, ...

Gah. It’s still 94F!

I really hate NCIS …

8pm
Just finished watching the episode of the Daily Show with Jon Stewart that had Neil Patrick Harris on it online at their website. The Smurf Movie looks cute.

My mom went to bed. I can listen to a rerun of Criminal Minds now.

My shoulder and temple are hurting where I fell on them yesterday. Been putting arnica gel on them. It helps a bit.

10pm
Wish my stomach would settle down so I can go to bed ...

July 27, 2011

8am
This worry is playing havoc with me. I have so many sores in my mouth I don’t want to eat. Having a fried egg sandwich, though … eating very slowly …

Great. I just fell in my room. Going to have a bruise on my shoulder and temple/cheek … Didn’t break my glasses, though …

1pm
Just requested a payment from another of my paid email sites. But, they only pay by check, not PayPal, so it won’t arrive until Sept. Over $50, though.

I guess the utility guy couldn’t find any black outdoor light fixtures since he didn’t come back yesterday.

I got 2 stores serviced in Sacramento today. I sure got hot, though. Tomorrow I have 2 stores here in Woodland.

4:30pm
Getting a stress headache and feel like I need to throw up. Crappy day.

5:30pm
Had Hardscrabble Oatmeal Pancakes for dinner. Yum. Found in Old Farmer’s Almanac Colonial Cookbook.

8:30pm
Missed half of Criminal Minds because my mom has to watch NCIS over and over …

9:45pm
Really getting into Google+ and trying to figure things out there. Annoyed that their +1 does not work as it should to save things under that tab on the site. Will have to bookmark the pages those articles are on instead. Will do that tomorrow. There are several recipes I want to try that I had shared, but have to save them someplace easily found for when I actually have some money to spend on the ingredients.

7am
Caught another mouse - IN MY BATHROOM! Damn thing kept me awake until nearly midnight. Once I figured out where it was I put a trap in my cabinet. Caught it within ten minutes. Then put the trap in one of the empty fish tanks in the living room (in case he chewed his way out of the trap) so I could sleep.

He’s still trying to get out of the trap! Will release him on my way to Davis this morning.

Sold this overnight:
1 x Chimpanzee Hug Throw Pillow (http://www.cafepress.com/+chimpanzee_hug_throw_pillow,96963237)

Oh, wow. I got another item in my Bonanza shop put on a hand-picked list!! How nice!
"Cute Russ Redskins Good Luck Troll Doll" was added to the list "WISH NIK had told me he was a TROLL!" by pjthedj09.

Trying to get some updates done for Firefox. They seem to be taking a very long time this morning.

8am
I think all this stress about my mom’s SS is finally getting to me. My stomach is a mess. Maybe that is why my breathing has been so bad this week, too. I’m stressing out …
If it isn’t solved soon, I’ll have to shut off the cable TV & internet by 8/11. I am 2 months behind on that date … I ‘might’ still be able to access the internet occasionally with my wireless plug-in if I can find a local free hotspot. We’ll see what happens.

1:30pm
The mouse I released was huge. Must have been an adult male. He should be happy by the little lake.

Finally found something to eat for lunch. Scrambled eggs and hash browns and toast. Not what I wanted but getting low on food.

Got 2 stores serviced today. Have 2 I want to get done tomorrow & 3 on Thursday. Hope I can do it. Then, will have 3 days off.

4pm
My mom asked me if I knew that Ezra ‘talks’ in his sleep constantly. I said he’s going over his plans for dog domination in the next year.
He already beats the crap out of her constantly and she lets him!

6:30pm
There’s been a huge fire at a plastics company in Fairfield since around 1pm that is still burning! Watching the live coverage on KCRA3. I just went outside with Nikky and I can see the smoke from it on the horizon and we are about 40 miles NE of there.
http://www.kcra.com/news/28672566/detail.html

8:30pm
I absolutely hate the scare tactics that BigPharma uses in their vaccine ads. Oh, parents can give their babies whooping cough if they hold them - so they better take them to get their newest toxic poison shot right now!! Grrr. Ridiculous!

3pm
It’s been a long day. Had to take a mouse out to release this morning. Pick up Rx for my mom and drop another off. Then serviced 2 Walgreens. Got home to find the utility guy was here early due to a cancellation (who would cancel a FREE service?!) He was really quick. The AC needed more juice, but otherwise in good shape. He didn’t have any black outdoor light fixtures with him, but is going to look in their warehouse and see if they have any left. If they do, he’ll be back tomorrow to put them up.

Have several Listia auctions ending right now, so getting them ready to package. Not mailing them until Thursday, though.

Been having trouble breathing all damn day …

5pm
I just discovered a series of great vids on YouTube featuring Daniel Vitalis. Sadly, I can’t find part 4. But, anyway, he has some really intelligent ideas about water and the history of its use.
Watch these clips. They are each about 10 minutes long. And, check out his site FindASpring.com Sadly, the closest open (free) spring to me is on the other side of Lake Berryessa - about a 2 hour drive on windy roads … but, it is something I will look into in the future. The weird thing is, this area of Woodland that I live in is Springfield!! So, at some point in history, there had to be a spring in this area! There is an old abandoned school just across the street called Springfield Elementary school and the fire department is the Springfield F.D.!! So, where is the spring now!!!? My mom doesn’t even remember one and she rode horses in this area all the time growing up in the ‘40s & ‘50s. It was all rural out here then (it was still rural when I was growing up, too.)

7:30pm
Don’t forget the CD rush sale on Bonanza tomorrow!! 50% off!! Check out my shop as I have a couple of CDs listed.

July 24, 2011

7am
Shoot. I thought I had caught a mouse last night. But, the drawer the traps were in must have gotten bumped and the traps closed on their own. No mice to relocate this morning.

Didn’t seem to sleep well last night. Should have taken my melatonin and Valerian. My shoulder is killing me and my breathing was crap all night.

There’s someone watering the yard next door. First time someone’s been there in two weeks, I think.

10:30am
Very late breakfast! Took forever to get the apple/pecan bars made. Don’t think I will get anything done outside today! But, … YUM!

Noon
I’m having a very lazy day today … Baking this morning took a lot out of me. Plus, not breathing well all night and today … sucks. There is so much I want to do!.
I did get my bathroom sink cleaned off earlier. And, have a load of laundry ready for the dryer.

2:30pm
Great. My mom is putting more holes in the walls … hanging crap in the kitchen.

3:30pm
How cool is this? PG&E is going door-to-door here in the park making appointments to service central heat & air units replace shower heads with low-flow heads and replace light fixtures - FOR FREE!! I just want the central serviced. They are coming tomorrow at 3!! Yay!

Damn Firefox froze up again and I don’t even have too many tabs open! Grrr.

Gah! What is with all these crappy, disgusting movies my mom is watching today! Can’t stand Matthew McConnaughy or Kevin Spacey! Yuck.

4:30pm
Cleaned the decorative backing that came with the 10-gallon fish tank we got from the neighbor last week. I now have 5 empty fish tanks in various stages of being set up. I do need to get filters for 3 of them, but that will have to wait. As will getting fish for them. But, they are clean and 2 of them (that do have filters) have water in them. Tank #6 - the big one - still has fish in it that we got when we first got the tank. I’m expecting them to start dying off soon as they are nearing 2 years old. Not sure how long tetras, danios and loaches live … The 5 other tanks will have bettas and goldfish when I get some extra cash.

My lungs are really screwing up the past few days. Bad air days plus my bad lungs. Can’t clear them out.

Oooh. I need to find my bubbles! I know I have a bottle somewhere. I want to see if Nikky & Ezra would like playing with them. Just saw a picture that reminded me of that game.

Hmmm. May have to make my own. Can’t think of where mine is … another thing for the ever-growing grocery list. Bottle of bubbles or glycerin to make some. It’s been ages since I made it from scratch.

6pm
Firefox froze AGAIN!!

July 23, 2011

10:15am
Been a busy day already this morning.
Took the first trapped mouse of the season out to the countryside and released it. I hope we don’t have as many to catch and release this summer as last year. Seems we get inundated with the little critters after the maintenance man mows the ditch behind the park, which butts up with my backyard. I think I released 1-2 mice every day for about a month or so last year.
Came home and cleaned the doves’ cage and let them fly around for a bit. Vacuumed their room. Then did my exercises and then went out and weeded for a bit out front. Trying to keep that area up. I hope to get the irises and daylilies planted in the big box out front tomorrow. I keep forgetting. They won’t do anything until next year since I am so late getting them in the ground.
Going to rest for a few minutes before I start on the spot-cleaning of the carpets. That is going to take quite a while.

11am
Well … that didn’t take as long as I thought it would. I did the carpet in the doves’ room, and the entry into the living room. My back is hurting, so I had to stop. Will try to get the rest of the room tomorrow.
Now, making new batch of sugar syrup for the hummers and moving their feeder up to the deck to hang from the awning. Let’s see how long it takes for the ants to find it … I will get some Vaseline in the future to put on the post hanger.

Going to make a blackberry/banana smoothie for lunch, I think. I had apple wedges with cinnamon for breakfast again. Good stuff.

Noon
Finished a load of laundry and starting on listing things now.

7pm
The nightly wrestling match under my chair is on now! They are cute, but it is annoying when they constantly throw each other against the base of the chair. Thump.

Already caught another mouse. He’ll have to wait until morning to be released. Too late to go out for me. I’ll toss a treat in the trap before bed to keep him occupied.

Got most of the ingredients set out to make apple/pecan bars in the morning. I’ve been soo hungry for them lately! Don’t want the oven on this late. It will never cool down in this heat. So, first thing in the morning I will make them.

OMG! I just found out the REAL Anthony Starke is on Twitter. Last year, there was a fake one that the girls on Make It Or Break It outed and got tossed off Twitter because Anthony didn’t have an account. Now he does! Catching up on his tweets now. For those who don’t know, he is my little Ezra’s namesake (via his character from Magnificent Seven, Ezra Standish.)

9pm
Fun reads on Anthony Starke’s Twitter page @AnthonyStarke. And, found out Eric Close has a Twitter, too @EricRClose! I knew Rick Worthy and Michael Biehn had pages. I follow Michael, but he doesn’t Tweet much.
@rickworthy; @MichaelBiehn I'm not sure about the other 3 Mag7 actors. I've not looked them up.

July 22, 2011

7:30am
Apple wedges sprinkled with cinnamon for breakfast.

Got some fun stuff in the mail the other day from swaps. A teddy bear, recipe, lots of stickers, stationery, envelopes, a pretty blue & white tile that will go in my bathroom, and a bunch of little stuff that I can re-swap.

9am
Made a sale at CaféPress this morning. I usually make at least a sale a week there these days. Not as good as I used to. Never any time or inclination to update things over there …
1 x Never Forgotten Large Note Cards (Pk of 10) (http://www.cafepress.com/+never_forgotten_large_note_cards_pk_of_10,75074905)

3:30pm
Got home around 2, which was earlier than I expected. Got done with my first store at 11, then stopped at Trader Joe’s and bought a bottle of coconut water (I’d never tried it before - I prefer vanilla coconut milk) and a yummy Trader Joe’s Country Italian Salad. I’d never had that before. Then went to the second store. I finished my salad when I got home.

Got home to a screaming kitten that my mom didn’t even hear. Had to hunt for him. He was trapped in the pantry closet! Have no idea how long he was in there!

Have so much stuff to get listed online this weekend. Don’t know if I’ll get anything else done in this heat. My mom found more cookbooks that were my aunt’s and a bunch of other stuff that I need to go through, too. I want to get a loaf of bread made and also some pecan bars, but doubt I’ll have time to get to them. We’ll see. Plus, I still have to clean the carpets …

I need to move the hummingbird feeder tomorrow. I just can’t seem to keep the damn ants from climbing up the hanging post it is on right now. They are getting more of the syrup than the hummers!

4pm
I don’t know if I mentioned this the other day. Don’t forget to recycle your old batteries instead of dumping them in the garbage. I took about 20 to my local Staples. They have a box on top of their battery endcap display just for that! They take all depleted small household batteries (AAA, AA, C, D, 9-volt, etc.) I use a lot of rechargeable batteries, but I still also end up with the old kind. I save them in a bag until I have a bunch to take at once. They take the rechargeable ones, too. But, none of mine have gone bad, yet.
I take my old ink cartridges there, too. You get store credits on those.
http://www.staples.com/sbd/cre/marketing/ecoeasy/recycling.html

5pm
Dinner was pretty good. Had some pasta with homemade meat sauce. And, half a banana.

I’m kind of sad that I can’t donate to Operation Backpack this year. I did last year. It was kind of fun getting all the stuff for it. Just can’t risk the expense this week until I know about what the stupid politicians are going to do in DC …
http://www.kcra.com/sponsors/24166133/detail.html

7:15pm
Ezra sure is getting big. Sadly, his eyes are losing their green and getting more coppery. His feet are already as big as Nikky’s!

Thursday, July 21, 2011

July 21, 2011

5pm
Been a long day. Another 4-hour day in a Rite Aid. Tomorrow will be even worse. I have to get 2 of them done …
Nikky has almost completely given up her potty-training. Frustrating as hell. I have to spot-clean the damn carpeting in 2 huge rooms this weekend since all I have is the little Bissell Green Machine. It will take hours …
I hate carpets!!!

6pm
Just redeemed a few more points at some of my survey sites. Got a $25 Macy’s gift card and $35 to my PayPal. Hope they both come quickly. I’m trying to scrape together about $250 more dollars to make sure my space rent won’t be late. I have part of it and all of my home loan in case my mom’s SS is late.

7pm
http://www.cafepress.com/quingem

Ugh. Nearly 8pm and still 95F. I usually turn the air off by now, but it is too hot for me right now.
Learning about raw foods - part 1

Mmm. Stonyfield Oikos Greek vanilla yogurt with fresh ground pecans and fresh blackberries. Yum.

July 20, 2011

7:30am
Didn’t want to get out of bed this morning. But, my mom has a dr. appt. in a couple hours, so had to.
Finally put my desktop computer back together in my bedroom. Next I need to see if I can get the wireless to work in there.

Have a headache. Need food.

4pm
My mom’s appt. was one of the quickest ever. Got home about 10am. Got some more of my photo albums organized in my room. Went through several more boxes, etc. and found some complete craft kits that I will be listing on Listia soon.
Made a bookmark for a swap.

Still have a headache …

Repaired some small old doll displays and old jewelry/trinket boxes.

July 19, 2011

8am
Didn’t work yesterday. Was too wore out from the weekend. But, then I ended up rearranging my room! Then just read fanfic the rest of the day.
My mom has a dr. appt. tomorrow, so won’t be working …

Had a nice email surprise night before last. Darla finally got back in touch with me. So good to hear from her. Hope to more often now. Wish she was back down here. I’d love to see her again after all these years.

This morning I found that one of my vintage pieces in my Bonanza shop has been put on a Hand-Picked list!
"Vintage German Wooden Carved Heads Cork Wine Aerator/Pourers" was added to the list "THIS IS WHAT I'M TALKING ABOUT" by Ahoy.
That was a nice surprise!

2pm
Long day. Only serviced one Rite Aid and was there 4 hours!
Had a detour on the way there due to a wreck clogging the traffic to the off-ramp I wanted so took a different one. On the way home had a detour into farm country because the Old River Road was closed for repairs! I liked that detour, though. It was kind of peaceful and liked seeing all the fields of veggies - corn and more.

Got home to find that my mom had an interesting day. Someone, a criminal or something …, came into the park and the cops were going door-to-door telling folks to be watchful and keep their doors locked! Eep!

11am
Wore myself out again this morning. Got the Ming tree trimmed and all the branches cut up & bagged. Only took an hour but it was tiring. Got a load of laundry going. Not sure if I’m going to get much listed online today. Might go through another box of stuff and get more milk crates cleaned and put in my room later.

2pm
Yay! Made a sale in my Bonanza shop.

July 16, 2011

11am
I am exhausted. My mom insisted Ezra was out of food. So, Nikky and I walked to the Pet Factory. She will sleep well. Longest walk either of us have done yet. I’m not going to get the chores done outside that I had planned for today. Hopefully, tomorrow. Going to list stuff online today.

I made this silly caption for my SG group earlier in response to a challenge.

Firefox crashed again.

I now have 100 items listed on Bonanza. Must list more things …

I now have 16 books available in my Paperback Swap bookshelf. Check them out!

And, Firefox crashed again!!!

10am
Yay! Ezra’s neuter voucher has arrived. I’ll have to call for appts. for him and Bruno, now.

12:30pm
Spent over an hour weeding and trimming plants this morning. Looks good out there. But, always more to do! I smell like lemon geranium and my arm is itching …

Ezra & Bruno have appointments for surgery on Aug. 12. They will be 4 months old that day.

I am starting to like Google+ because it is not cluttered like Facebook and I can write a lot more than the 140 characters allowed by Twitter. But, I will always like Twitter more, I think.

I’m wondering if one can have too many tabs open on Firefox … I have 3 windows and one of them has 11 tabs open. It keeps freezing up and I have to go to task manager to close them.
Oh, now, it’s responding … we’ll see how long that lasts.

And, it froze again. I have at least two more things I want to list today!!

Vintage Royce Electronics CB Slide Mount Bracket - QuinGem's Bonanza shop: http://t.co/hK1bCJL

Vintage Jim Beam Lombard Lilac Decanter - 1969 - QuinGem's Bonanza shop: http://t.co/yKf2F5S

4pm
OK. That’s all the listing for today. Want to play some Pogo and find some fic to read.

Need to make a bookmark for a swap on Swap-bot tonight. Can’t decide on a theme, so will have to look at the profile for the person I am sending to.

My mom is making grilled cheese/tomato sandwiches & chicken Top Ramen for dinner. I hate Top Ramen … oh, well.

Tomorrow, I’m going to trim the Ming tree. Some of the branches are laying on the corner of the roof. I forgot to do it last month before it started blooming. Also going to drain the hot water heater and flush out sediment. Then, clean the AC filter. Lots of maintenance that needs to be done.

5 pm
I enabled chat on my Google+. Hope I don’t regret that … ;)

There was an online, browser-based program that I found a few years ago that worked just like PSP. I need to find that site if it is still around. Time to search. I really don’t have the time to try to figure out why it stopped working on my laptop. It is on my external HD, where I have had it for YEARS and used it on 2 different computers. But, it still says part of it is missing and the Python Library keeps giving an error. I do still have it on my desktop, which is sitting on the desk in my bedroom. I really need to hook it up in there …

6pm
I’m bored. No one on Twitter or G+ is talking much …
It is 82F right now. Nice outside today again. Hope it lasts.

July 14, 2011

4pm
Haven’t really been in the mood to blog much this week.
Steven already got the neuter voucher for Bruno. I haven’t gotten Ezra’s yet, but did get the email saying I would get it …
Getting nervous about whether or not my mom’s SS will be deposited next month on time. Trying very hard not to spend too much the next few weeks. Really need to pay the cable bill, though …

I'm giving away: Fall Leaf Address Labels. Check it out - http://www.listia.com/r1lzer/174106

Made 2 cute ATCs for a swap last night and forgot to scan them … mailed today.

Very nice weather the past couple of days. Very un-July-like. It is 80F right now …

5pm
OK. So, I got Google+. Thanks, Liliana! I don’t like that it grabbed my name. But, I’m not putting more personal info on there, so I guess it’s alright. I have invites if anyone wants any. You can check my profile here: https://plus.google.com/101435258125314511169/about and join my circle that way, I think. If you want to.

Going to take some time waiting for dinner to figure this stuff out.

6pm
I desperately need some good Ezra-fic or Spencer-fic. Mag7 or CM slash or kidfics … I’m all caught up on all I had saved in my email. Fic withdrawal …

Tomorrow I need to get more books researched and listed online. Have some things to put on Listia, too.

Still need to fix my PSP, too …

Who should I follow on Google+. I’m following Wil Wheaten, of course. I wonder who else interesting is on there.

July 12, 2011

Noon
I got my oil royalty check, so went to a nearby bank and opened a new account there. I should get my new ATM card in a couple weeks. I’ve been wanting to get an account at a closer bank for a while. This bank is inside the grocery store around the corner where I also use the P.O. Very convenient. If I like their services, I may transfer everything over from my other bank.
I got a letter in the mail the other day from PG&E as they are now required to inform everyone of where gaslines are, etc. Scary. My street has a main line under it. Two blocks away, there is another. I think that one is newer as there is a newer (less than 20 years old) subdivision in that area.

Need to get a load of laundry going and get some other things done today …

July 11, 2011

7am
Didn’t post a blog yesterday. Hurting too much to do anything. Just read fanfic alllll day. Relaxing. Have to work today, though.

3:30pm
There. It’s sent. Sent the form and proof of income to get Ezra’s voucher to get neutered. Only $10 for kitties. Sent the info to cousin Steve to send in for Bruno, too. Just got back from taking him to the grocery store and JoAnn’s fabrics, too. (He ordered a couple bolts of fabric to make some curtains for his living room. He’s quite good at sewing.) I guess I’ve become elected to be his chauffeur now that Uncle Buddy is gone … at least he gave me gas money.

Next will be taking both kittens to get their rabies shots next month so they will have them before their surgeries.

July 9, 2011

Noon
Exhausted again. But, we’re done! I thought there was more of my stuff. All that’s left now is some of Jeanne and Uncle Buddy’s old furniture. All I am missing is the greyhound cage and a couple of ex-pens. The might be behind the furniture … So, all I have to do now is take my time going through my stuff and list what I don’t want anymore and find a spot for the rest. It is just such a relief to finally have all of my property where it should be. With me. Not stored in an inaccessible place!

10pm
Wow. Short blog. Been reading fanfic most of the day.

July 8, 2011

Noon
Exhausted. Got a lot of stuff home. Haven’t rested enough yet to even look at any of it. But, I brought home the barrel full of Breyer horses!! I’m afraid to open it to see how many were broken … I have a headache and have too much dust in my lungs right now. I need to find something to eat, too.

Have to start a load of laundry. Have a ton of Jeanne’s clothes to go through. She had some nice stuff, but most of it will be going to GoodWill.

1:30pm
Woohoo! All of my Breyers survived!!!! The only broken ones were the 2 that were broken when I was a kid. I just have to repair the legs again. Everyone else is intact!! I just need to find the brick wall that belongs to the jumping horse … I will never have to buy sheets or pillowcases again. That’s what they were all wrapped in!

2pm
I rarely notice those commercials for As Seen On TV stuff, but I just saw something I want. The EZ Move. Going to wait and see if it ends up in one of the local stores. I like to actually see & hold what I buy. I won’t buy from the TV. Usually WalMart, CVS or Walgreens ends up carrying them. If it really looks sturdy enough to lift a couch end without bending, I may get one.

Ezra has pulled the fuzzy ball off of his tunnel. Here is the slobbery proof.

The sewing machine is his favorite rest stop.

5pm
Going to get another big load from the storage tomorrow morning. We can actually see the back wall of the trailer now. So, we are making a dent! But, still so much more in there … And, I am getting much more than just my stuff. The guys have given me a lot of their mom’s stuff, too. They certainly have no use for the crafts, her clothes, some of her books, etc. I am going to have stuff to list online for years!

July 7, 2011

7:30am
Well, that sucks. I guess no one wants to do my swaps … will have to think of some different ones.

Ezra’s new bad thing is to try to kill the lace curtains …

So tired this morning.

8:30am
Damn. I forgot about the free micro-chipping event at the Capitol … I have to work this morning and by the time I got home and got Nikky ready, it would be too hot and parking would be impossible to find … have to wait until the next event, I guess.

Anybody here tried the Google+ thingie?

Noon
Came home to my mom actually going through some of the boxes, etc! Without prompting! But, leave me alone about your finds. I just came in the damn door. I need to eat!

4:30pm
Been cleaning books and rearranging some things since I got home. Found all my aunt’s macramé pattern books!! So happy about that. I LOVED doing macramé. Also found a couple of plant hangers that I had made back in the ‘80s. I just put in a bid on eBay for some pretty blue Macra-cord!! Hope I win it!

I got a beautiful lap quilt for a swap in yesterday’s mail!  I’m not a fan of yellow, but this person did a fantastic job. I think I will use it to cover Nikky’s crate.

6pm
More storage trips starting tomorrow. It’s supposed to be a bit cooler. That will help. But, it won’t help my bad joints that are still hurting from last week …

I forgot to stop at Tractor Supply before I came home. So will have to stop there tomorrow to get the kitty vax. The Boys are 12 weeks old tomorrow.

9pm
It’s a lot quieter tonight. Hope I can sleep. Hip still hurts.

July 6, 2011

OK. I’m back. Did ya miss me? DreamWidth didn’t work out for me after all. Annoying. Their auto-save function failed me greatly. I’m now writing my blog with my Microsoft Works Word Processor and then transferring it to Blogger. We’ll see how this works out and if I still get errors here. I am hoping Blogger will keep the format I am using on this, such as the font and special characters, without having to re-edit everything when I copy/paste. We’ll see!
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||

6am
Did not sleep well. My hip is really bothering me and I am getting a migraine. It is already 66F. So, it’s going to be a hot one again.

I was going to do two stores today. But, the way I am feeling, I might only be able to get one done.

9am
I’m hot. I’m in pain. I gotta go to work. See ya later …

Noon
Nice. Came home to a new member in my swap group!
I got some nice ATCs, tea and a cool postcard from swaps in yesterday’s mail.

Massive earthquake hit in the southern Pacific. 7.8. Tsunami warning for Tonga and other small islands in the area, as well as Auckland, N.Z. Hope it doesn’t happen.

I’m so frustrated. The square garden area that I want to make into a raised bed is full of weeds again … I laid 2 tarps over it when I came home. It doesn’t cover the whole area, but about 80% of it. Hope it will kill the weeds off. I just cannot keep up, even though we have such a small space …

Need food now!

My mom is going to make chicken quesadillas! Yum. Nikky is having an ‘ICY’. That’s the word I taught her for her frozen broth/cheese bones. She loves them!

Ha!

Not sure what is going on next door. Might be a Baptism party for little Macy or something. Lot of guys dressed up like they are going to church … setting up lots of tables & chairs. The street is over-full of cars. Too many people … awful late to be having a get-together …

9:30pm
Hopefully, they are finally done with whatever they were doing next door. Lots of noise and clapping …
Ooh, CSI has changed days. They are on Wed. after Criminal Minds now. Two shows I hate to miss! Cool!

July 1, 2011

For those of you who actually follow this blog regularly, I have moved it over to DreamWidth as I am tired of all the errors I get when trying to post here.
You can now find it here:
http://quingem.dreamwidth.org/
If you don't have a DreamWidth account, you should still be able to read it. Let me know if you have any problems doing so. I'm still working out the kinks myself!
