December 28, 2015

4:45pm
Well, the year is almost done. So quickly ...
Here are a few pictures from this week.
I made a blue set of these earlier last month. Both sets are in their new homes now.
This was also a gift. The recipe is here: Rosemary Pecan Cookies

December 20, 2015

2:30pm
I missed posting on Wednesday with bunny and dove pics, so I'll make up for that today! It was a very busy week for me with last-minute gift creating! I am finally down to the wire. Last thing is in the freezer and will be packaged tonight. Everything will be mailed in the morning. Hopefully, it will get there by Thursday! Most of the gifts were  made by me - sewn or cooked. Very few store-bought things in the mix.
This year, for work, we aren't having a complete service shut-down for the holidays, after all! So, I have 2 stores to service this week and (I think) 4 the following week and then back to the normal craziness. Glad I won't be totally without money! But, so much for 2 weeks off! Ha!
So, here are today's pics of the bunnies and baby dove. The bunnies are 26 days old and the dove is 14 days old.
Well-fed!

December 13, 2015

2:15pm
Just got back from my weekly walk and having a late lunch. I almost missed my walk! I took my time cleaning and rearranging cages and didn't get finished until after 12! Rushed to get to the mall by 12:30.
Here are today's bunny and dove pics!

Looks like I'll only be working on Thursday and Friday next week and then will have two weeks off for the holidays ... grrr. Not what I want, but that's the way the company has things scheduled ...

But, I plan to get some sewing done. I think I want to make a quilt. A simple old-fashioned tied quilt. Made a few with my mom when I was a kid.

December 12, 2015 - Christmas Parade

1:45pm
I had such fun this morning! I haven't been in a parade since I lived in Florida and worked with the Bay County Humane Society, back in the '90s.
I helped out with a Miniature donkey called Donkey! ;) I took LOTS of pictures! I enjoyed myself!
Donkey did not like being decorated! He did not want anything to touch his whithers!
Party Girl
Firefly and André
André ready to pull the cart.
Yep, that's me with Donkey. I had my picture taken more times today than in the past 25 years or more! Eek.
The Cow Cart from Bobby Dazzler's Pumpkin Patch carrying TROTR's hippotherapy students.

Taking a break behind the old railroad depot, before loading the trailer.
André taking a roll.
There were far more horse groups than I expected! I was loving all of it! Andalusian, Arabian, Paso Fino, Peruvian Paso, Belgian, Friesian, Shetland Pony, Miniature Horse, and more that I didn't see. Horsie heaven! And, when we were done, we headed to the Tack Warehouse and had our pictures taken with JoJo (miniature horse) and Santa for free - I should have that pic tomorrow!
These pics were taken by one of the gals who runs the program.
