January 23, 2016

1:30pm
My goodness, it has been a busy few weeks. I was really sick a couple weeks ago and didn't even work, except for Friday morning. And, didn't even help out at TROTR on Saturday. Was much better last week. Lots of projects at work and also had to set up my displays in a new store, yesterday. Just got home from TROTR about an hour ago. I had fun walking and grooming two of the horses. Luckily, the rain held off other than some sprinkles. The paddocks are a muddy mess! They had sump pumps going to drain some of the water off into the pastures.
I need to get some crafts made for swaps coming up in the next couple of weeks. Pot holder, dotee doll, junkyard doll, mug rug and some other stuff. I better get going on them! I have all the supplies. Just a matter of cutting and sewing them!
We've had a good amount of rain the past week. Really needed it. Next week should be drier, though.
I started a new batch of bone broth. A mixture of pork, turkey, beef and rabbit bones.

8am
Well, I am sicker today. Have a fever, now ... :/ So, I contacted my manager and she's going to do one of my stores for me this afternoon, so it won't be late. I don't remember ever having asked anyone to do that in 14 years on this job ... I just don't want to spread my germs or be light-headed from the fever while I'm driving.

So, today's project is to have my mom dig out the TV cart that is on wheels from her closet and use it for my desktop computer to roll it from my office to my room. I really hate using my laptop! It is so damn slow all the time, no matter what I do with it.

9am
Yay! Got the desktop hooked up in my bedroom and found the wifi password! Good to go!

Now, I'm having sneezing fits! Ugh! There was a time when I was used to always feeling this bad. But, it is rare now and extremely annoying!

10:15am
Time for some chicken broth!

 5:45pm
I'm feeling better, but may need to fend off a migraine, now ... It's good tomorrow is my usual day off to clean cages. Gives me one more day to fight being sick. I have to work Thursday and Friday!

10pm
Migraine has arrived ... fun.

January 11, 2016

8:45am
Well, this sucks. I woke up with the beginnings of a sore throat. Plus, I got out of bed 30 minutes late and I had to drive out to the mailbox before I could feed the rabbits to get their food! I forgot to go yesterday.

So, I am staying home today and fight off this sore throat. Heating up some water and will add honey and lemon juice.

Hopefully, I can catch up on some of the stuff on my daily list:
Clip Parker and Patty's nails - done
100 jumps on the trampoline - done

6:45pm
Well, I didn't accomplish much ... I feel like crap. But, I have no choice but to work tomorrow ... :(
All the upcoming work projects are going to be the death of me! Ugh ...

January 10, 2016

8am
I did not want to get up this morning! But, I have cages to clean and critters to pay attention to and lots of other things to do.

And, both of my computers are being slugs! So slow ... I'll have to do some cleanses on them, I think! Ha!

And, my Incredimail decided to crash! Ugh!

12:15pm
Now, my Incredimail won't send ...

So, time to feed everyone. Need to go out to the mailbox and see if my Sherwood rabbit pellets have arrived. Didn't get a chance to go to the co-op this weekend to get more greens. Will have to go tomorrow.

I'm having Cheddar cheese melted on rice crackers topped with red pepper flakes and salami. So good.

Today's list of things to do ...
100 jumps on the trampoline - done
Make cinnamon apple chips - done
Organize shelves in bathroom closet - done
Shred old bills/files - done
Clear off big craft table and start a jigsaw puzzle - done
Sort underwear drawer and combine with scarf drawer - done

January 9, 2016

Noon
OMG! I had so much fun today! I am now a volunteer at TROTR. Today was the new volunteer orientation. Even though I helped out at the Christmas Parade, this was my first real day of volunteering. Met all the horses and other critters, watched one of the therapy sessions, cleaned paddocks, groomed and walked the mini horses, and chased down two escapee draft horses (another new volunteer forgot to lock their paddock gate!) And, the rain held off until we were done! I'll be going every Saturday morning to help out. Hopefully, by spring, I'll get to start doing some riding! Volunteers can ride for free if they show they are committed to continue volunteering.

1:15pm
I hate that I can't keep this house a consistent temperature. I felt great when I was outside this morning. I get home, and I am freezing!!! I've moved into my bedroom and using the laptop again. Sitting on my bed with a heating pad in my lap to keep my hands warm!

4:15pm
Well, Rachel-hen has a new home. Just gave her to neighbor Martin. He had her riding on his shoulder! Hope she works out over there. Now, I can start looking for the hens I really want.

January 8, 2016

7:15am
Yesterday did not really go well ... I woke up an hour late due to Nikky insisting she had to go out at 3 am and also one of the smoke alarms had a dying battery that made it keep beeping about every 20 minutes until I yanked it off the ceiling. So, I didn't get everything done that I had wanted to. I was running on empty, so just did my stores and bought groceries, came home and read fanfic! Ha!

Anyone who stops learning is old, whether at twenty or eighty. Anyone who keeps learning stays young. The greatest thing in life is to keep your mind young.― Henry Ford

6:15
Ugh. Another day of not accomplishing much at home. I got 3 stores serviced and let another store know of a big upcoming reset project.

Going to read fanfic for the rest of the evening, after I get things ready for tomorrow. I have volunteer orientation at TROTR, so I can start helping at the ranch regularly with the horses and other critters. :) I have to be there by 8! Yikes. So, I'll have to get up about 30 minutes early so all my critters are fed/watered before I leave.

7:30pm
Just finished syncing the FireFox browser on my desktop to the laptop. Now, I can stay in my room where it is warmer!!
Nikky is all mixed up! Ha!

Apparently, the noisy neighbors were dog-sitting the 2 Lhasas yesterday. The barking stopped around 8pm and haven't heard or seen them today. But, I sure wouldn't let anyone dog-sit my dogs if they were just going to tie them out in the driveway all day!
