3pm
We have hot water!! My cousin Curtis was able to install a new hot water expansion tank for me. First one he's ever done (he didn't even know what one was!) He's installed water heaters before, but this was new for him. I think the weird rumbling noises we heard coming from the water heater a week or so before that little tank blew was the tank breaking down inside. We shall see if it makes that noise anymore.
He checked the air conditioner and has no idea what's wrong with it ... we both think it may be the compressor or the same as the rest of the house - the wiring ...
I wasn't able to get under the house to check the wiring this past weekend, as I had a massive migraine (partly from stress and the high temps with no air to cool me ...) But, I will get under there on Wednesday. If I can't find a problem with the visible wiring, we'll have to wait a couple more months before I can hire another electrician. Curtis isn't sure he can fix that. One of his friends knows of one who did some work for a reasonable price. He's going to get me the number. Hopefully, he'll come to my area and understands mobile home wiring ...
Curtis is going to help me get the car fixed (again) - he always comes through with the cars. I'll get it registered before it is due. He'll get the catalytic converter and smog test done and I will pay him back.
So, at least 2 of my problems have been figured out and potentially the problem with repairing the deck once I get the home inspection papers for that. He's said he will help with the rebuilding of it.
Oh, and amazingly, we finally got re-approved for the CARE discount for utilities. They dumped us 2 years ago because we 'used too much electricity' ... :/

Noon
This year is still not getting better. It's one thing after another ...
I still need to get the water heater expansion tank replaced, so still no hot water.
The electrical problems ... it's not the circuit breakers (thank goodness, since they are nearly $100 each for the type required for mine.) It's looking more and more like a wiring problem. Very likely from mice/rats chewing through them ... somewhere ... so, I am going under the house tomorrow and hopefully locate the problem.
No air conditioner ... It quit the other night. Not sure if it is wiring or the compressor went out ... not getting much sleep because it doesn't cool off in here at night, even with the windows open ...
My house insurance has gone up over $100 ... just got the bill last week ... on top of the space rent raise I already have to deal with ...
After the recent park inspection, I know I will have to, at least, replace my deck, plus the construction permit is $196!
Oh, and the heating element went out on my dryer yesterday ...
And, I still need to get a catalytic converter/smog test and registration for my car ...

The only bright spot coming up is the Magnificent Seven Convention ... in 3 weeks! I have my 'costume' almost ready. I'm making the sleeve garters and string tie this weekend. Still would like to find some different boots, but will have to settle for some I have. And, I'd like to get a 'gambler' hat, but the one I found online is too pricey this year. Maybe for next year! I have the pants, shirt, vest, pocket watch/fob (my grandfather's), braces (suspenders) and belt. Need to find cuff links (I have them somewhere in all my inherited jewelry ...)

1pm
And, now, I have a migraine ...

Finally, called cousin Curtis to ask if he could fix the water heater problem. So, he'll be here in a few hours to take a look ... didn't mention the other problems, yet ... I really hate asking him ... but, desperate times and all that ...

6pm
Curtis just left. He's going to fix the water heater problem on Monday. Hope that will solve one problem. We finally told him the plans about moving to Washington and he mentioned that he's been thinking about leaving CA. for a while, too ... never thought I'd hear that from him! He also said, he doesn't think there would be a problem selling our place once we fix the current problems ... that surprised me! So, there may still be hope of moving, after all! That kind of cheered me up. If I wasn't so over-heated and migrained to death, I'd probably be jumping for joy!
