November 6, 2024

So, I spent the night exhausting myself ... spent some time scrolling Twitter (I still refuse to call it X ...) to check on the political results. Although I despise the Trumpster, as many of you know, I could not pass up the chance for Bobby K to get into DC and do what he does best. Sue the pants off of drug pushers and other corporations, etc., among many other things. And, I couldn't vote for the she-devil ... made that mistake when I still lived in CA. Don't like my opinion, bye-bye!

But, I was also up much of the night watching Murdoch Mysteries. Love the show. Detective Llewelyn Watts is the best! I just wish that the ION channels hadn't moved the schedule from the weekend during the day to weekdays mostly during the overnight hours! :/

I'll be starting on my chores late today. At 11, I'll be going to the mail store to ship the sale I had yesterday. They don't open until 10 on most days. And, since I still have my water trailer hitched up, I might as well get a load of water today. That will all take about an hour. When I get home, I'll get to this list:

It's very cold this morning ... the 'real feel' is in the 20s! Crazy desert temps ... it mostly feels so cold because of the winds ...

9:30am

I checked the water level to make sure if I really needed to get water today. I don't, but I'm going to anyway.

Just finished putting yesterday's batch of beef jerky in a jar and into the fridge.

I think I'll start a batch of buttered rice in the crock pot during the next commercial break. And, go open the gate ...

11:30am

Package is dropped off for shipping and water is ready to drain into my underground tank. I'm going to rest a bit, then have lunch, before I drain the water. I think I'm going to have an egg muffin for lunch. Haven't had one for a while.

12:30pm

Simple, minimal lunch. English muffin, butter, 2 organic eggs. Done!

Started a load of laundry. And, draining the water ... Spencer is helping.

1pm

Water is taken care of for the week. Doves are taken care of ... need to pull out a fresh pair of dish gloves. Don't like using them, but this time of year my fingers start to tear up from the cold water (I have no hot water heater - since 2021) & using the space heaters. The gloves help up to a point. I need to soak my hands and cover the fingertips with bandaids ... :(

2pm

I haven't accomplished a whole lot today, but that's OK. I almost fell asleep. Going to hang up the laundry on the indoor drying racks.

Washed enough dishes to clear 1 sink and 1 counter ...

3pm

Fed chickies. Too chilly and windy to walk outside today.

Changed tablecloths. Started donation bag.

Oh, wow! Just checked a few posts on Twitter. Bobby K has already announced a bunch of stuff that will get done with a lot of the 'alphabet' 'companies' - FDA, CDC, etc. And, Joel Salatin has been asked to help revamp the USDA and he accepted!! This is fantastic news for small farmers and how our food is raised. He is a premier regenerative farmer! This is actually exciting!

I've been reading more Tweets and getting chills in a good way, seeing who has been asked to join Trump's team ... I never thought I'd feel like this about politics.

I didn't get the kitchen backsplash wiped down today, but I got all the other chores on my list done. That's good, since I got such a late start on chores.

Below is a list of the various articles I've also read the past 2 days. I'll be putting article links at the end of my posts, since they, sadly, aren't of interest to everyone. Read. Learn.
